Business Development Manager


Purple Diamond, The Innovation Center is seeking a Manager of Business Development to join our growing team.

We are looking for a team-oriented candidate with the ambition and self motivation to grow with us. The Manager of Business Development will lead and establish a scalable sales group within the company. assist with initiating, developing, and maintaining client relationships.

The ideal candidate thrives in an open, results-based work environment, possesses strong interpersonal skills, is goal oriented, and works well independently.

Bring a Plan and Prepare to Provide Solutions

Duties: Under the direction of the President:

  • Developing new business models and assist with pilot programs to support and drive sales across the business.
  • Introduce, develop, and facilitate new business ideas and plans for assigned areas.
  • Build, maintain, and effectively manage a healthy sales pipeline and hit/exceed sales targets.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent to ensure that people with the right skills and motivations are in the right place at the right time to meet business goals.
  • Manage and pursue business in an assigned category, resulting in new sales.
  • Cultivate strategic and consultative relationships with key accounts.
  • Introduce, develop, and facilitate new business ideas and plans for assigned areas.
  • Provide sales presentations and prepare client-specific presentations to respond to client needs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


To be successful, this individual would need to have strong experience with:

  • 5+ years successfully selling professional consultative B2B services
  • Proficient writing skills in technical/scientific field of studies.
  • Possess a high level of organizational skills.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional team and interpersonal skills.
  • 3+ years utilizing Salesforce CRM
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including proficiency with MS Office including Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others. Strong sales traits, including tenacity, competitiveness, persuasiveness, and overall people skills
  • Excellent business acumen and executive presence.
  • High ethical standards. Conducts dealings with clients, external and internal, with professionalism.
