Team Role: Packaging Engineer

What we do: We help bring products and goods to market. How?

 Design Packaging Systems for our clients
 Engineering, we produce samples and prototypes
 Testing, we test and validate products & packaging

Here are some of the main industries we work with:
 Consumer Goods (the things we see and buy in stores)
 Medical/Pharmaceutical (the things that keep us healthy)
 Hazardous Goods (the things we protect the public from)

We break stuff! We shake, drop, compress, freeze, and pull things apart. It sounds awesome…and it is! We analyze how and why it broke not everything we touch breaks, regardless, we still evaluate it for clients.

Despite how much fun it is to TEST (break) things, we have other areas we focus on too. When things break, we help create the solution to fix the problems with our DESIGN and ENGINEERING expertise. We have the opportunity to work with a vast array of companies and be part of market launches, product/packaging changes and studies that are monumental to a companies’ bottom line. So, what we do is pretty important!

The Packaging Engineer will be accountable for Packaging Projects that focus on
designing and Developing Packaging structures.

The ideal candidate thrives in an open, results-based work environment, possesses
strong interpersonal skills, is goal oriented, and works well independently.

Areas of Focus:
• Implement new package designs for product launches
• Ensure the compatibility of package designs equipment and technology.
• Develop and maintain packaging documentation: Specification, Packaging Study
documentation, change controls
• Write and execute Packaging Qualification Protocols and Reports.
• Conduct Packaging Studies and component qualifications.
• Create Packaging Test plans / Protocols as need to evaluate Packaging Systems

Top Skills:
• Positive Attitude
• AutoCAD experience
• Adobe illustrator experience
• Experience with structural package design projects.
• Solutions driven

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Engineering, Material Science, or related field
• 1-3+ years of Packaging development experience
• understanding of packaging materials and product commercialization process
from packaging design
• Structural Design experience
• Packaging development experience in the Pharmaceutical / Medical Device
industry
• Ability to Write/ interpret Packaging Specifications
